Spotlight Tree

Here's a spotlight card made using traditional Christmas colours. The poinsettia tree is a Magenta stamp. I stamped it in black Versafine ink and embossed it with clear detail embossing powder. I then added some colour using my Promarker pens. The greeting is from Elusive Images and was also stamped in black Versafine ink.

Bethlehem

I just couldn't resist this stamp from Elzybells, I bought it at the Port Sunlight Show in October.
It's stamped in black staz-on and coloured with prismacolor pencils and blending fluid. The background paper is from one of the books that Crafty Individuals make. To add a little decoration I used nailheads in each corner.
I just love the colours and how it turned out.

Christmas -Non Christmas Stamp

We have a challenge for November on Katyscorner Group. Make a blue and white card using a non Christmas stamp. So here's mine.
I used a Tim Holtz mask on a panel of white card and used distress ink to add colour. I stamped the bird from an Inkadinkado set over the panel using a darker ink. The white base card is stamped with a crackle stamp to add a little colour. Next a little bit of layering and it's complete.

Old Grist Mill

The stamp I've used is from The Old Grist Mill plate made by Artistic Outpost. It's stamped in black Memento ink onto background paper. I added some colour with Promarkers and some sparkle to the water with Rock Candy Distress Stickles, it doesn't show up very well in the photo though. The saying is from an old PSX set, flowers added as a finishing touch.

Long Time No See

It's so long since I've posted on my blog and I'm going to have to try and post something more often than I have been doing.
So for today a new start with a christmas card using a stamp from Penny Black and a greeting from Hero Arts. I masked the background after stamping the image and sprayed it with Glimmer Mist.

Chrimbo Owls

These three owls on this branch just make me giggle every time I look at them. They were embossed in black onto a piece of background card I had leftover from another project. The owls are from Hero Arts and the text is from Carolines.

Spotlight Card

This months technique on the group is a spotlight card. The stamp of Meg in hat and scarf is from Pink Gem Designs and the text is from a snowman set made by Darcie's. This is a quick technique as you only have to do a small amount of colouring. I can't wait for next month now to see what is coming up next.

Serendipity

On a group I belong too we have started a monthly challenge. The month of August was serendipity here are my two samples. The one on the far right I did to use up all the leftover pieces. The stamps were from Innovative Stamp Creations. This technique is a good way to use up all those lovely scraps of designer paper we just can't bear to throw away.

Got Milk?

I must try harder not to let the days pass so quickly without doing some blogging. If only I could find my memory it might be a whole lot easier. Maybe I should set myself an alarm to go off every couple of days to remind me!
Today my card is using a stamp from Crafty Individuals. I stamped the cat panel with Brilliance Chocolate ink and trimmed very close to the border. I attached it to a torn pink panel and stapled a piece of brown spotty ribbon to the bottom left. My next layer is brown and was stamped using a flower from a set by Inovative Stamp Creations, the set is called Friendship. I used the same colour ink as before and just to add more interest I stamped some speckles from the same set using pink ink. This layer was then attached to a square pink card, my cat layer was then attached to this. To finish off my card I stamped a Got Milk saying and attached it to the bottom right of the card.

Aiko

This beautiful stamp is from Judikins as is the Asian writing. I started with a square folded white card, stamped a panel with the Asian writing in Brilliance Pearlescent Lavender, distress the edges and attatch to the left half of the white card. Stamp the word Oriental and punch out, distress the edges and attach to the centre left of the panel. I made a background of thick watercolour paint and stamped the image in Versafine Onyx Black and embossed in detail clear. It was then layered on white and lavender card, all the edges were distressed. The layers were attached to the right of the card, as a finishing touch I used a white pen on parts of the image.

Time Does Fly

It's been a while since I posted, time just goes by so quickly.
All the stamps on this card are from Stamp Camp. I stamped the dragonfly panel with Encore Sweet Dreams rainbow ink, then embossed with stardust embossing powder to add a little twinkle. The main image was stamped using StazOn black ink and water coloured. The wording was stamped and embossed using the same materials as the panel.I used my nestabilities for the main panel and wording, then layered on a white card. Just as a finishing touch I added some punched dragonflies to the panel.

Dotty Blooms

A really easy card to make but effective. The stamp is from The Stampman and was embossed in white powder and then cut out with a nestie. I left the cutting die in place while I coloured the circle using Distress Inks and my handmade colouring tool. Which is a square of wood with some protective furniture felt attached, a cheaper version than the Tim Holtz tool. I then removed the die and used the Distress inks to paint more colour onto the three flowers. The background layer is done in the same way using one of the single stamps on the stamp sheet. When I'd finished colouring I buffed up the embossing, this takes away any ink that might have been left on top of the embossing. The saying is from Elzybells and cut out using the nesties. All the layers were attached together and mounted onto a white card.

Forever Friends

This is a Forever Friends stamp bought for me by a friend and it's the only one of this range that I have. I stamped it using a Versafine Onyx Black Inkpad. I then embossed it using clear detail embossing powder, it was coloured in using Distress Inkpads.
I layered the bear and the saying (not sure who's stamp this is) using nesties. I used a piece of designer paper and a piece of cuttlebugged card as a background. Then punched out some flowers for decoration.

Ballerina Bear

Last one for today is a cutie. Ballerina Bear is from Elzybells Stamps and is one of a range of cute bears doing all sorts of things. The Happy Birthday stamp is an old one from a PSX set. She was stamped in Vintage Sepia Versafine ink and coloured using Prismacolor pencils and blending fluid. Her dress has beads at the waist and a little touch of glitter on the tutu frill. Cut out with a label nestie and layered on a cuttlebugged background. I also added a paper ribbon border down the left edge of the card.

Scaredy Cat

Enough birds for today, heres a cat that is scared of mice! The stamp is a Sugar Nellie design, the words are from a Woodware clear set. He was stamped in black StazOn and coloured using Distress Inks. Layered again using nestabilities and a cuttlebugged background.

Sing Your Song

Here's another bird card, both the bird and word stamp are from Elusive Images. I stamped it in black StazOn and coloured with Prismacolor pencils and blending fluid. I then used the Inksentials white pen to add dots wherever I felt like it.I used the nestabilities for the layers on the bird, the blue layer behind it was cuttlebugged using an embossing folder.

So Tweet

I love this bird from Personel Impressions. I stamped it in Vintage Sepia Versafine on ivory card. I stamped it again on background paper and paper pieced the body. I used nestabilities for the layers, the so tweet wording is one of those cheap Imaginince stamps.

Inkadinkado Birds

I just love the Inkadinkado bird plate. The tag on this card is stamped with two of the images from the set. I've used distress inks to add colour to the tag. Then used the distress inks again and a Tim Holtz mask on a folded ivory card.

Vellum Tree

The vellum tree is a very simple design but one I really enjoyed creating. The stamp is from Stamp Camp. The vellum was embossed in white powder, then the little leaves were dry embossed on the back. The vellum was then coloured on the back using a sponge and inkpad.
