Wedding Card

Here is a wedding card that a friend asked me to make for her niece. She wanted it all in white and gold. I made an easel card with a pocket on the front. The tag in the pocket has their initials on it and a picture of them both. I used some glitter vellum to fold over the pocket front for a bit of dimension. The only stamp used was the special day one which was embossed in gold.

Tim's Birdcage

I cut the birdcage out of gold card then put it in an embossing folder and ran it through the Cuttlebug. The bird was cut from light brown card. I stamped the bird using the same Tim Holtz stamp that I used on the tags and main card. The flowers and leaf were die cut and the flowers textured with the same embossing folder used on the birdcage.
The birdcage is more flimsy when it's embossed especially with thinner card so if you try it be careful when removing it from the folder.

Birthday Easel Card

The image was stamped in onyx Versafine ink and embossed in detail clear. I did a little paper piecing to incorporate the background papers. The fringing was done using a Martha Stewart punch. The flowers, some die cut and some punched were put in an embossing folder and run through the Cuttlebug to add some texture.

Cutie

The image on this card is Stella from The Greeting Farm. I've stamped using Versafine onyx black ink and used clear detail to emboss. Coloured with Promarkers and layered using nesties.

Too Long Away As Usual

Will I ever post to my blog on a regular basis? Why I find it so difficult I'll never know, weeks seem to pass so quickly these day.

Here is a simple card using some of the new distress ink colours and a stamp from Elusive Images. It's stamped in white and then coloured with the inks. The wording is from an old PSX set.

Sitting Pretty

I've been laid low with a virus, it took a week to get back to feeling human again. How do I pick these things up when I hardly leave the house?

Today my card was stamped in black versafine and embossed in detail clear. Coloured in with Promarker pens. I usually pick any card and designer paper I'm using first so that I don't spend hours looking for paper to match. The stamps used to be made by Time To Stamp but are now sold by I Brake For Stamps. The greeting is from a clear set by Woodware and was stamped in Brilliance pearlescent rust ink.

Easel Card Calender

I made this easel card calender for myself, it's sitting on my craft table and makes me smile everytime I look at it. The cat stamp is a clear set from Elzybells. I stamped the image with onyx black versafine ink and embossed with clear detail embossing powder. I used my Promarker pens to colour the image leaving the cushion uncoloured. I then stamped the cushion portion again on designer paper, cut it out and paper pieced it onto my coloured image. I then added a few more embellishments to finish it off.

Facelift and Listen to the Birds

Okay the blog has had a face lift and it's time to post again. My mojo has been missing in action, just hope it's back to stay now.

The stamp for this card is from Elusive Images. It's been stamped in black StazOn and coloured using Prisma Color pencils and blended with paper stumps and blending solution. I have added some detail using a white gel pen.

Spotlight Tree

Here's a spotlight card made using traditional Christmas colours. The poinsettia tree is a Magenta stamp. I stamped it in black Versafine ink and embossed it with clear detail embossing powder. I then added some colour using my Promarker pens. The greeting is from Elusive Images and was also stamped in black Versafine ink.

Bethlehem

I just couldn't resist this stamp from Elzybells, I bought it at the Port Sunlight Show in October.
It's stamped in black staz-on and coloured with prismacolor pencils and blending fluid. The background paper is from one of the books that Crafty Individuals make. To add a little decoration I used nailheads in each corner.
I just love the colours and how it turned out.

Christmas -Non Christmas Stamp

We have a challenge for November on Katyscorner Group. Make a blue and white card using a non Christmas stamp. So here's mine.
I used a Tim Holtz mask on a panel of white card and used distress ink to add colour. I stamped the bird from an Inkadinkado set over the panel using a darker ink. The white base card is stamped with a crackle stamp to add a little colour. Next a little bit of layering and it's complete.

Old Grist Mill

The stamp I've used is from The Old Grist Mill plate made by Artistic Outpost. It's stamped in black Memento ink onto background paper. I added some colour with Promarkers and some sparkle to the water with Rock Candy Distress Stickles, it doesn't show up very well in the photo though. The saying is from an old PSX set, flowers added as a finishing touch.

Long Time No See

It's so long since I've posted on my blog and I'm going to have to try and post something more often than I have been doing.
So for today a new start with a christmas card using a stamp from Penny Black and a greeting from Hero Arts. I masked the background after stamping the image and sprayed it with Glimmer Mist.
